PS Structures have utilised kingspan roofing products at the WA Museum CRC Redevelopment in Welshpool. The works involved the construction of a New Wet Store for the storage of specimens. The building was constructed from structural steel clad with Bondor insulated wall panels and a kingspan roof. These products were crucial in creating an air tight seal for the building to allow condition of the internal environment to be strictly maintained for the preservation of the specimens. The kingspan product we used provided excellent thermal properties and provided a very neat finish as there was no ceiling. This product would be well suited to a prison environment as it avoids the need for safety mesh and anticon insulation which is required for standard roofing systems.

The existing facilities house thousands of priceless artifacts and specimens which are protected by a high level security system. PS Structures have worked closely throughout the duration of the redevelopment works to ensure that level of security is maintained at all times. PS Structures have also been required to work within the existing buildings which required detailed liaison and planning to ensure the works did not hinder the museums staff nor compromise security.

“I would like to sincerely thank you and your team in helping the WA Museum to achieve the first stage of our new Museum Project with such a fantastic building.”
