Tyre Distribution Warehouse – Jandakot
The TyreMax facility was a design and construct build which consisted of the construction of a large warehouse, attached office building and extensive concrete hardstand and car parking zones. The structure was predominantly structural steel, concrete tilt panels, colourbond cladding and fibre concrete ground slabs. The office construction was steel frames with a variety of concrete tilt panels, aluminium glazing, CFC and ultracore panelling for the façade. There were additional office spaces and amenities constructed within the warehouse for use by the warehouse staff.
Extensive racking was installed throughout the warehouse to store the tyres and to improve on efficiencies we constructed an incoming/outgoing loading dock on either side of the warehouse. Due to the contaminates that would be generated in the water run-off in the event of a fire, we were required to contain all water used in a fire fighting situation onsite. This was achieved through setting down the warehouse slab in its entirety and using the loading dock for overflow water storage. A washdown bay was installed to the rear of the facility with a trade waste.
External fire pumps and tanks were installed for the sprinkler system and coverage required, being a tyre facility, with extensive concrete fibre hardstands around the entire warehouse for additional storage and daily movement of trucks.
