The project consisted of the full refurbishment of all rooms and suites over 6 levels of the Burswood Entertainment Complex Hotel, inclusive of all corridors and existing lifts. Given that the hotel was fully operational throughout the refurbishment, concise project management skills were required in order to minimize the down-time of rooms and to minimize disruption to existing patrons. The refurbishment of the rooms involved a full demolition back to the original structure followed by a complete rebuild and fit out internally to each room. The scope of works also captured the refurbishment of the main suites on each level. A litany of high quality finishes and integration of hard and soft surfaces seamlessly has provided a luxurious finish for hotel guests.

Access to each level was provided externally through the use of an alimak. We were required to break through into one room on each level at a time. This enabled us to minimize disruption to the existing hotel patrons. Dust and noise management was also crucial and was managed and assessed on an ongoing basis in close liaison with the Client. PS Structures were also involved in managing the soft fit out of the rooms from a timing and sequencing perspective with the rooms needing to be fully complete prior to moving from one level to the next.
