Bethanie Group – Peel 2, Apartment Project
The project consists of the extension of the existing single storey Auditorium to provide additional capacity due the additional units under construction, this is a traditional double brick façade, timber roof with metal roof coverings.
There is a large circulation space and washroom facilities within the extension, the existing auditorium has been re-decorated and new floor finishes have been provided to give a consistent finish through, there is also provision for a future operable wall installation should this be required to provide additional flexibility.
The main works associated with the development comprise of 98 one and two-bedroom, new social age care units across two independent building, Bock A 52 units, Block B 46 units. The units are fitted with wheelchair access, six-star energy ratings and high-quality fixtures. These are traditional type construction incorporating the following:
- Concrete foundation and ground bearing slab.
- Double brick façade construction.
- In-situ first floor concrete slab.
- Timber roof construction incorporating metal roof finishes.
- Aluminium window and door installation, both domestic and commercial frame suites.
- Structural steelwork externally expressed for louvre/solar shading provision.
- Common and unit service installation and commissioning.
- Full internal fit out including carpets and window treatments.
- The external works associated with the development include new car parking, caravan parking, service roads, external in-situ feature paving and unit paving, preparation for landscaping by client contractor, all associated fencing, access control gates and car ports.
- New water services, fire services, incoming power including transformer and internal distribution of these services is included within the scope of the project as is a new sewer pump station and associated connection.
